CSV calls for better communication at information meetings

At the municipal council, CSV Frisange tabled a motion proposing that, in the future, simultaneous translation into at least French be offered during major information meetings in our municipality. This is intended to allow residents who do not (yet) sufficiently master the Luxembourgish language to follow technically complex or administrative presentations in detail.

The background to this initiative was the recent information meeting on residential parking, where the presentation was given in Luxembourgish even though the invitation had been sent out in French. This caused confusion among several residents.

The motion also called for all future invitations to clearly indicate the language in which the meeting will be held and whether a translation service will be available.

The motion was adopted unanimously by the municipal council.
